Obtaining  A Seed Treater's License
 

All seed treating plants that treat seed in Arkansas must have a license from the State Plant Board. (1) All seed treated by such plants must be labeled as it is processed in accordance with Section (H) of the Regulations on the Sale of Planting Seed in Arkansas (Circular 10).

(1) Farmers may treat their own planting seed with their own equipment without a license.

A seed treater’s license is purchased annually and covers the period of July 1st through June 30th. The fee is $250.00 per year.

Applications for securing a license and copies of the regulations on the sale of seed in Arkansas may be obtained from the State Plant Board.
